Our ceramic cylindrical InfraStar sauna heaters are designed to emit infrared heat in every direction. and radiate long wavelength infrared heat far more effectively. Many flat or curved, steel, aluminum and ceramic heaters unfortunately under perform— their infrared heat is directed to limited areas  thereby significantly decreasing their intended effectiveness.

Heater Comparison
There are many types of Infrared heaters on the market. Many claim to be 100% ceramic. Others use extremely large heaters that are both unsafe and uncomfortable causing hot spots in your sauna. Clearlight incorporates more heaters heating at a lower temperature.

Clearlight’s InfraStar Heaters
Clearlight’s InfraStar heaters are extremely efficient at radiating Infrared Heat. The cylindrical shape allows the heater to project most of its energy towards the user, and the stainless steel reflectors reflect heat from the back of the heater towards the user. We use 100% ceramic with NO coatings or glazes.

Ceramic Concave Type Heaters
Many sauna companies commonly use concave Ceramic Heaters. Unfortunately, these type of heaters have a limited pattern and do not provide much reflection of the heat waves emitting from the back of the heater source. They also often have a ceramic glaze which will change colour when heated, and are NOT 100% ceramic.

Heater Type & Placement
At Clearlight, a lot of time and effort went into the selection and placement of our far infrared heaters.  We incorporate more heaters in our unit than any other manufacturer.  The cylindrical design of our heaters is superior to other flat or curved designs, which limit the direction of the far infrared rays.  Our heaters are designed to emit infrared heat in every direction.  The placement of our heaters is targeted to cover the whole body.  The first six heaters are placed behind our open design ergonomic bench.  This placement truly covers the back, legs and buttocks, while the two front heaters compliment the mid body coverage, without putting heat directly in your face.  The two top back heaters are placed high to give a wrap around effect and to ensure that heat is not aimed directly at the head.  This ten heater design was developed  to help maximize the benefits of far infrared technology.
