What is far infrared? Is it safe?
Far infrared heat is completely safe. It was originally developed in Japan by doctors. It was further researched by NASA to be used in the space shuttle. Today it is even used by hospital maternity wards, to keep infants warm. For more information go to our “What is infrared heat?” page.

Why is a Clearlight Far Infrared Sauna better than a traditional sauna?
There are many health benefits associated with the use of a clearlight far infrared sauna that you simply do to receive from a traditional sauna. Traditional saunas only heat the air around you without penetrating into your body. For a complete comparison, visit are “Infrared vs. Traditional” page.

Why have you placed your heaters the way you have in your saunas?
Heater placement is very important in a far infrared sauna. At Clearlight, a lot of time and effort went into the selection and placement of our far infrared heaters.  We incorporate more heaters in our unit than any other manufacturer.  The cylindrical design of our heaters is superior to other flat or curved designs, which limit the direction of the far infrared rays.  Our heaters are designed to emit infrared heat in every direction.  The placement of our heaters is targeted to cover the whole body.  The first six heaters are placed behind our open design ergonomic bench.  This placement truly covers the back, legs and buttocks, while the two front heaters compliment the mid body coverage without putting heat directly in your face.  The two top back heaters are placed high to give a wrap around effect and to ensure that heat is not aimed directly at the head.  This ten heater design was designed to help maximize the benefits of far infrared technology.

Is a Clearlight Sauna more comfortable than a traditional sauna?
Yes! You perspire more at a lower temperature. The feeling you get in a Clearlight Sauna is the same as the warmth you feel from the sun without the damaging UV rays.

Is there anything else I can do to maximize my detoxification?
