All Clearlight saunas come standard with solid tongue and groove handcrafted three-layer spruce wood construction. We use shorter wood spans with a centre support to guarantee against warpage.

We build quality and durability into each and every sauna. We utilize three, high-strength, cross-layered sections of solid spruce. (Most other manufactures use only two or sometimes even one layer of wood!) Furthermore, our selection of spruce as material of choice is by no means an accident. In addition to its strength and warp resistance, spruce emits insignificant amounts of toxins when exposed to heat, unlike dark woods (redwood, cedar), which emit large amounts. Simply put, a sauna made from white wood is always the healthier choice.
